Dan
Americorps Member
Hi! I’m Dan, a provider with Discovery Education Station. I’m originally from Stevens Point and earned my degree in Environmental Studies from UW-Oshkosh. My passion lies in helping individuals succeed—whatever success looks like for them. One of the most rewarding parts of my work is connecting people with opportunities in the community and watching their confidence grow through those experiences.
Outside of work, I enjoy hiking, reading, gardening, building models, and spending quality time with my family.
Julieta
Assistant Site Supervisor
Special Needs Provider
Hi, my name is Julieta, and I’ve had the privilege of working at Discovery Education Station in various roles along my journey through medical school. From serving as a Site Supervisor and Provider to working as a Social Media Tech, each experience has shaped my vision of the world and filled me with hope for the future. Working with children through both the CLTS and IRIS programs has been one of the most rewarding parts of my journey.
It’s been an honor to witness their growth and to be a part of their lives. Every day I’ve spent at Discovery has taught me so much more than I ever imagined. While I continue to work as the Social Media Tech, I know that no matter where life takes me, I will always carry Discovery and the incredible kids I’ve had the privilege to work with in my heart.

I entered the field of Special Education in 2020, but I’ve proudly been part of Discovery Education Station since 2018—teaching French, performing the Japanese Tea Ceremony, serving as an AmeriCorps member, and much more!
I love discovering unique talents in my students and learning alongside them. In my free time, I enjoy exploring the outdoors, immersing myself in different cultures, and expressing myself through art and music.

Hi! I'm Desi, the manager of the Animal Ambassador Program at Discovery Education Station. One of my favorite parts of working here is caring for our amazing variety of animals—and guiding others to do the same. I also love the strong sense of family and teamwork among the staff; it truly makes this place special.
In my free time, I enjoy going for walks, spending time in nature, being with my family, and listening to music.

Brianna
Hi, I'm Brianna! I've been part of the Discovery team since January, and I’m passionate about helping children recognize that what they may see as their biggest challenge can also become a powerful strength.
I believe that when a child acts out, it’s not without reason—there’s always something deeper driving their behavior. I draw from my own experiences to help kids build strong, healthy coping skills and navigate life in a way that’s both empowering and fun.
In my free time, you’ll usually find me behind a camera lens, holding a paintbrush, working on creative projects at my computer, or spending time with my nieces and nephews as I continue growing in my own journey.
Scott
Hello! I'm Scott. I hold a Business degree from UW-Stevens Point and have a background in retail management, banking, and financial services. Before joining Discovery Education Station, I spent 19 years with the Marshfield Clinic Health System YMCA.
I "discovered" Discovery in 2023, and it has been a true pleasure to work with both youth and adults who benefit from and thrive through our caregiving programs and supportive services.
Katie
Provider
Hello, I'm Katie. I have a background in Early Childhood Education and bring experience from both retail management and childcare, including roles as a daycare teacher and assistant. Since 2022, I’ve had the privilege of working at Discovery Education Station as a provider, supporting children and adults with special needs.
This work is truly my passion. I find so much joy in getting to know each individual, celebrating their unique personalities, and watching them grow, connect, and thrive. Their smiles are the highlight of my day.
Ana
CLTS Provider
Hi, I'm Ana, and I’m proud to serve as a CLTS provider at Discovery Education Station. I’m deeply passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of the children I work with. Whether it’s sharing a smile, offering a listening ear, or simply being present, I strive to create a space where every child feels valued, supported, and safe. I believe that patience and trust are the foundation for meaningful growth, and I truly enjoy building strong, lasting connections with my students.
Watching them learn, grow, and thrive is incredibly rewarding, and I feel so fortunate to be part of their journey. Every day brings a new opportunity to make a difference, and I’m excited for all that lies ahead!

Our AMAZING Volunteers!
Kaylee
Hi! I’m Kaylee—animal lover, chaos wrangler, and proud caretaker of a tiny, lovable zoo. I take care of two sugar gliders, five chinchillas, two axolotls, one sketchy newt, an alarming number of goldfish, two angelfish, and Peter—my best friend, travel buddy, and the undeniable diva bunny of the squad. Peter’s basically famous. I’m just here to carry the snacks and clean up the fan mail.
At Discovery, I get to live my dream—talk about animals, make people laugh, and do what I love. It’s fun, meaningful, and occasionally fish-soaked. And I owe it all to one person:
Linda – The Boss Who Built Discovery (and Might Rule the Galaxy Next) 👑🐇⚔️
Linda didn’t “start” Discovery—she commanded it into existence using caffeine, chaos, and elite-grade sarcasm. She’s the general, the glue, and probably the reason we haven’t been overrun by goldfish (yet).
She leads with heart, humor, and a laugh that can either heal your soul or make you sprint depending on how much trouble you're in. She turns messes into memories and disasters into hilarious stories.
Working with her is like starring in a wholesome sitcom directed by a drill sergeant with glitter. If she ever runs for president? Peter’s her VP. And yes—I’d vote. Twice. Maybe three times.
Savannah
Hello, my name is Savannah. I am 19 years old and on my way to my second year in college. I hope to eventually get a Bachelor in Psychology. I enjoy working at Discovery because I truly feel like I'm helping make a difference in the world.
I have experienced so much so far in this job. It was tough at first but I have always loved it. The children, the animals, it has been enlightening.
HEALTH AND WELLNESS POLICY
Discovery has been working throughout the pandemic to follow best practices for the industry and to stay in contact with state and local health officials to ensure the safest environment is provided for students, guests, staff and volunteers. We are taking extra steps to ensure the safety of your camper.
