My name is Tia and I am an anomaly!
I was born in Seoul, South Korea, and was diagnosed with optic nerve hypoplasia. I was adopted at 17 months old and grew up in Marshfield, WI.
During high school, I didn't let my visual disability keep me down and developed a passion for emerging technology when and I was introduced to the concept of 3D printing and artificial intelligence.
I attended Northcentral Technical College and obtained my computer-aided design (CAD) technical diploma. I was the first visually impaired student in NTC’s engineering program!
I love graphic design and am a walking paradox. I do design work as a hobby and professionally and have created everything from logos to board games. I have even created the logo for Discovery!
I will be leading the Build the Future, Architecture, Space Camp, and the Girls STEM camps in Summer 2024 so register now! Come meet Tia and learn all about her classes on Tuesdays and her GameMaster Club on Saturdays at 4pm!
