Discovery Youth Impact

Discovery Education Station has been certified by Wisconsin DHS as a provider for services through the Children’s Long Term Support Program! These would include respite care, transportation, mentorship and daily living skills training. We are super excited to be bringing this opportunity to the local area!! Contact your local County Human Service Department and speak to a Support and Service Coordinator to let them know that you would like to work with Discovery Education Station.

Discovery Education Station's philosophy for the Children's Long-Term Support (CLTS) waiver program is centered around providing holistic, family-centered, and individualized care and support to children with special needs. Our approach is guided by the following principles and values.

At Discovery Education Station, we believe that every child is unique and deserves individualized care and attention. Our philosophy prioritizes the best interests and well-being of the child, and we work closely with families to develop personalized care plans that address the specific needs, goals, and aspirations of each child.

Our goal is to support and empower families to be advocates for their children and active participants in their care, while balancing the stresses of life and sibling care.

Collaboration among service providers, agencies, educators, and healthcare professionals is essential. We emphasize the importance of working together to ensure that services are coordinated, efficient, and effective. Our goal is to minimize fragmentation and provide a unified support system.

We are committed to ongoing learning and improvement. Our staff receives regular training and stays updated on best practices in the field of special education and safety practices.

We view advocacy as a fundamental component of our philosophy. We advocate for the rights, needs, and well-being of children with special needs and their families. We also support families in advocating for themselves and their children within the broader community and educational systems.
